Run With It
“Baby Seal Clubbing…your thoughts…go.” That was the first thing Ethan, my Starbucks buddy, said Thursday morning. My response: “I think baby seals should be able to go clubbing along with walruses, killer whales, otters, and harp seals.” My response caught him totally off guard and made him laugh. He said “I didn’t see that angle coming.” A little morning banter is fun. Just like waking up saying thank you can set your day with gratitude, a little laughter in the morning can set your day to be full of “the funny.” Personally, I like responding with off the wall remarks and comments. I like seeing the where did you come up with that look on the other person’s face.
When someone feeds you a line, run with it and see where it goes. Before you know it, you will be building little comedy pyramids everywhere and dropping laugh bombs all over. Laugh! It makes ya feel good.
