Yuck or Yum
I was at an open house/wine tasting party at a friend's house yesterday. I did not participate in the actual wine tasting, but I did watch all the dynamics and listen to the conversations. As the tasting proceeded, one woman wrinkled up her nose at one of the samples. The person leading the tasting snickered a little and said "don't turn up your nose…your yuck could change someone’s yum."

That brought me back to a little piece I wrote on emotional contagion or the process of "catching someone's emotions." The comment about changing someone else's opinion just shows how easily we can influence those around us with a simple facial gesture.
That's the very reason I smile at everyone and say hi. I want them to "catch" my smile and positive energy. Be an influence on someone today. Smiles and Hugs change the world :)
