Just One More
Have you ever noticed how there is always just one more thing to do on your “To Do” list? No matter how many things get done, there will always be something else added to the list. It’s like your email inbox. You may delete the spam and file all the other messages before bed, but you know there will be a new set of emails when you wake up and log on. That’s just the way it works.
Sometimes we get so caught up in trying to complete the “to do” list that we miss the process of doing. The doing I’m referring to is life. I know some people that spend so much time trying to plan their day out to the minute that any little deviation just upsets them and their entire schedule. If they get five minutes behind somewhere, it throws off their entire day. They forget that you can’t make more time in a day. Sure you can do things a little smarter or multi-task, but the five minutes is gone and no amount of fretting and stressing will get it back. I’m a firm believer in having some structure in your life, but you also need an amount of flexibility. I like the way I read it one time. So exactly what will happen if you do not get that last thing done? Will the world stop? When you make your list, just keep those thoughts in mind. Remember, there will always be just one more.
