Where's The Love?

I was up on the Lido deck this morning at 5:06 am snagging a little coffee. It is certainly not Starbucks but will do in a pinch. In the background, I hear an old Rod Stewart song called Passion. I smiled a little as it reminded me of some of the fun times I had in the 80’s and 90’s. The song also brought thoughts of the importance of passion and affection and how like common courtesy they seem to have gone somewhat by the wayside.

Ya gotta have it, folks. There is no way around it. Passion and affection fill your heart with goodness. Why do you think I hug everyone? It feels good to me and to them. If you’re in my life, sooner or later, I’m gonna hug ya. That’s just the way I am now.

When was the last time you showed someone a little affection? I haven’t yet today, but that is just because there is no one up and stirring. I do know that there will be lots of hugs when I leave the ship though. Some will be old friends and some will be people I just met yesterday.

In this busy game we call life we sometimes forget the importance of affection and passion. At some point today, show a little passion and affection to someone. You will feel better for it, and you will have made a little difference in someone’s life. Trust me. I do it every single chance I get. In fact, here is a virtual hug to everyone reading this little set of words. I feel ya!
