Thank You
Today’s thought is a simple one. It is back to my favorite two words: Thank You. For today, Thank You is directed to our Armed Forces. To those in my circle, I want to send out a personal word of thanks. Thank you to my nephew Shayne for serving in the Marines. Thank you to Robert, Danny, Jimmy, Ivan, Torrey, Kenny, and Nick for serving the Air Force. Thank you to Joe Ellis for his service in the Marines. Thank you to Robin Langseth for her service as a Marine. Thank you to Frankie Satterfield for your service in the Marines. Thank you to Jim Southern for his service as a Marine. Thank you to my nephew-in-law for his service as an Army Ranger.
As you go out today to get that beer and BBQ for the Memorial Holiday weekend, take a minute to think about those in your life that are serving, have served, or made the ultimate sacrifice. The next time you see someone in uniform, stop them, say thank you and shake their hand. It makes a difference. It is because of them that you can drink that beer and have that BBQ in the back yard. It is because of them that I can sit here at Starbucks and write something I feel without fear of repercussion on “the man” filtering what I write. It is because of them that I can hop in my new truck. Their efforts and energy afford us the ability to live in the greatest country in the world: The United States of America.
Thank you for what you do.
Rodney
