What Do You Feel?
What is the first thing you feel when you walk in your house? Is it a sense of calm and peace, or do you feel something uneasy when you walk in the door? If something feels off, uneasy or out of place, then it is off, uneasy or out of place. We are big sensing machines and feel our surroundings whether we know it or not. We all have reminders of our past around our home. I am all about displaying pictures and special gifts as long as they bring a smile and good energy when you see them.
There was a time where I would get the funny feeling when I walked in my house. In my case, it was due to reminders of my past around my house in the form of pictures, paintings, and gifts from a past relationship. I still had emotional baggage tied to them. Without fail, less than good feelings would kick up when I saw the things. All of those things are gone now as I checked the emotional baggage and sent it on its way. Now you will find pictures from Nora and David’s wedding when I performed their ceremony, pictures from driving the race car, my cross collection with a specific one Lauren gave me, pictures of adventures with Johnny, along with fun things from my years with the rodeo committee. Everything you see in my house now emits good energy. I know it to be true by the consistent comments I get from visitors: “it’s some calm, peaceful, and relaxing here.”
Are there reminders of less than favorable times in your life? Maybe it is time for the things to leave. I pose the question again. What do you feel when you walk in your house?
Rodney - Feelin It and Lovin It
I've lived alone almost twenty years. Before that, I had never lived alone. When I walk in my house I close and lock the door and what I feel is safe. I don't feel any uneasy feeling at all. Sometimes during the night I'll hear a sound and not immediately know what it is. I'll think of all possibilities and consider what I might need to do to fight the threat. Then, I settle down and go to sleep.
ReplyDeleteThe "threat" feeling is a direct result of having been stalked by the crazy X-Ranger.
One thing about home is nothing is moved unless I move it.
