Flip a Coin

Good Not Good…You Decide

When was the last time you said, “I wish this day was over?”  There are days where everything seems to go wrong.  You oversleep.  Traffic snarls your commute to work.  The kids are sick.  You have an argument with your spouse.  You name it, and it can and sometimes does happen.  Things go wrong in life just as things go right.  The difference between the two is how we react.  We may not have control over the events, but we have 100% control on how we react to the event.  I am certain no one gets out of bed thinking, “I sure hope I get in an accident on the way to work, or yippy, the kids are sick, or damn I sure want to fight with my wife today.”

I am a true believer in setting my intention for the day when I wake up.  Even if I have a headache from the tasty adult beverages the night before, I still set the intention mentally that I will have a good day.  If I believe the day will be good, it will be good.  If I think it will suck, it will suck.  Sure, I know there are things that will get me off track during the day, but I also know how to get back on track. I refuse to let an event or comments from someone sabotage my entire day.

Do you wake up dreading the day or looking forward to a good day?  It’s your choice.

  2. If I woke up and thought I was going to have a bad day...I'd just stay in bed...Good day is always a first thought!
