Quality NOT Quantity

Just A Flappin

The mute button on the television is a wonderful thing.  If a politician comes on, you can hit the mute button and really not miss a thing as all they do is ramble about what they are “gonna” do yet very seldom put action behind their words.  The lips are just a flappin in the breeze or as I like to say, “They have a whole lot to say about nothing.”  Words without action are just a collection of letters.  The value of your words comes from the action behind them.

Do you remember the statistic I wrote about a while back?  The average person speaks 16,000 words a day.  My first seven words of the day are “Thank you, who can I help today?”  I wake up with the desire to put action behind my words. I want to help someone. I want to encourage someone. I want to make a difference in the world. I want to make someone think. I want to make someone laugh.  I know. There are a lot of “I wants” in the previous sentences, but did you notice each occurrence of “I want” has some action associated: help, encourage, difference, think, and laugh?  Rather than just say it, show it.  Yes, it is indeed that easy.
