Did You Think That Up All By Yourself?

Really?

“My life sucks.  Could it possibly get any worse?”  To answer the previous question, yes your life can indeed get worse just like it can get better.  You could be in a hospital bed on life support and not have the ability to ask the question, could it possibly get any worse?  There are too many people, in my opinion, focusing on the less than positive things in their life and see events as setbacks and challenges.  My preference is to view setbacks and challenges as opportunities for improvement rather than seeing them as less than good things in my life.   It is a matter of where you direct your attention and focus.  Are things great 100% of the time?  The answer is no.  Are things bad 100% of the time?  Again, the answer is no.

“My life sucks.  Could it possibly get any worse?”  I can just as easily say, “My life is great.  Could it possibly get any better?”  Rather than get caught up in sweeping generalizations of all good or all bad, strive to adjust your attention to fit the situation. It is your attention/focus and yours alone.  You get to decide the direction.  How do you choose to answer the question, “Really?”
