Scanning on All Frequencies
I like to call mine spider senses while others refer to it
as a sixth sense, intuition, or heightened awareness. I was reminded of the spider senses while
watching Nora and David’s little critter Amos running around in their back
yard. Amos is a longhaired Jack Russell
with a full body length mohawk and attitude to go with it. He is also blind.
It was interesting watching him find his way around the
backyard as they are in the process of putting in a new pool so his familiar
surroundings have changed. As he walked
out of the house, you could see him checking his footing, turning his head from
left to right to listen, and sniffing a lot.
As he would move around the yard, you could tell he was a little more
cautious than in the past as he could sense the changes. Sure, he would bump into things occasionally,
but you could see that he was sensing and almost doing a mental map in his
head. He was able to find the
differences in the backyard by using his spider senses and adapting.
If something feels good, pay attention to it. If something feels off, pay attention it. If get an uncomfortable feeling around someone
or in a certain situation, pay attention to the feeling. Awareness is a great thing on all levels.
