Can't Change It


I laugh when I hear someone wanting to spouting off about wanting to change or rewrite something in history.  A common one you hear is someone or a group whining to change the wording of some document, “well we need to change the words in insert title, because they are insensitive and hurtful.  Does that change that the words or events happened, heck no.  So why bother dredging it up?

There have been so many things I said in my past that I wish I could change or take back, but I can’t.  It’s done, it’s in the past, and there is nothing I can do to change it.  The best I can do is learn from the past and not repeat it.

Leave the past in the past and embrace the place you are right now.  That’s where the fun is at.
