How Deep?

Depth Initiator is the new term I learned today.  You won’t find it in a dictionary or on the “Wiki-Thingy” online.  A depth initiator is a person that skips all the topical conversation and gets down to the deep stuff when talking with their safe people or inner circle.  It is that ability to say what’s really going on in your life no matter what the conversation or topic might be.  It could be something troubling you or it come be something that brings you great joy but you have kept in inside.  In the simplest of terms, it’s exposing you in ways that most never see, as they are not one of your safe people or part of the inner circle.

Even though I’d never heard the term, I learned the process of being a depth initiator when I learned to be a true communicator and the real meaning of safe people.  Exposing yourself is both scary and liberating.  It also opens the doors for others to be depth initiators.  In my experience, the end result is a very deep bond, and deep bonds create connections at the deepest, no pun intended, level, or as I call it, heart connectedness.  Being connected at the heart level changes everything in your life and in the lives of those you connect with, and as you grow, they grow and so and so on.  Come on, be a depth initiator, and change some lives.
