The “all about me” phrase typically triggers thoughts of self-centeredness
and arrogance, but there is an instance when the phrase is spot on. That instance is living life. Sure,
things happen that are beyond our control, but we still choose what to do and
how to react to the situation. People
may or may not like what we do or how we live, but we only answer to ourselves,
and the good Lord. We choose what we do,
how we give to others, how we give back to life and the universe, and who we
allow in our circle.
It’s a matter of tuning in to those and situations that
matter and tuning out and turning away from the ones that don’t.
Being an “all about me” person can be a good thing. When you are being the best you can and
living life on your terms rather than the terms of others, that’s exactly what
you will give back to those around you and the universe. I strive to be the best “me” I can be.
