The funny thing about
so-called reality shows is that they are not true reality. They are scripted events with producers,
editors, lighting, makeup, etc. A true
reality show happens when we wake up in the morning, hair mushed to one side, a
little snap, crackle, and pop of the joints, then out of bed to start a new
day.
My typical reality show
starts with a good stretch in the morning, a prayer of gratitude for another
day, a few cracks and pops then get dressed and off to the gym. From there, it is off to work and who knows
what. There are also days where a wake
up in a less than good mood or wishing I’d skipped that last tasty adult
beverage the previous night. Then there
are other days where I feel like I am on some crazy roller coaster just zipping
from here to there. As things happen, I
to choose how to react and what to do with said things No matter what kind of
day I have, it is still my reality. Sure, events and other people can have
influence on how the day goes, but it is ultimately my reality.
I am the producer, writer,
makeup guy, editor, and lighting guy of the Rod Show. The Rod Show has been on
for 53 years with no reruns. Each day is a new episode. Hmmm, I wonder tomorrow’s
episode will bring? Stay tuned.
