Level Setting

As challenging as it can be, there is something positive that comes out of the loss of a loved one.  I call it level setting.  It has nothing to do with a bucket list or playing the woulda/coulda/shoulda game. It is the process of reviewing my life to ensure I am where I want to be, am content and focused, have uplifting and wonderful people around me, and I have my priorities in the proper order, better known as living in the moment.

Level setting is part of my daily life. Yes, I do still play the “what if” game, have occasional pity parties, and get bitchy.  However, rather than focusing on those things, I look at them as tools and triggers to remind me of where my focus should be.  Yep! You guessed it; level setting is just another term for boundaries.

Are there people in your life that are nothing but energy vampires?  Are there situations that keep you frustrated and resentful?  Are you holding on to something from that past that serves no useful purpose?  If you answered yes to any of the previous questions, it is time to do a little level setting.  If you need help, call me.
