Sorry Doesn't Always Cut It

Is it just me or are the a lot of people out there that think saying sorry absolves them of whatever situation they caused or that they get a do-over?  Sorry is not a mulligan or mean that everything resets. Even stranger is watching them getting attitude when they are not let off the hook, and by some convoluted thinking, they become the victim.

I’ve seen too many examples of that very thing. Sorry I’m late, sorry I hurt your feelings, sorry you’re mad at me, sorry I did not let you know I was not coming to the event…and on and on.  Do those phrases sound familiar?

To me, sorry has become a throw away word by some. I see many cases where sorry typically, ties in with the other word, selfish.  People that spend lots of time saying sorry are mostly one-way types that think about themselves.  Granted, we should all take care of ourselves but not at the expense of others.

For the selfish ones out there, sooner than later, there is no one left to say sorry to.
