The opportunity starts the
instant you open your eyes in the morning.
There is a multitude of ways to go, but ultimately, the choice is
yours. What is the opportunity you ask;
it’s called you daily intention. Your daily intention can set the way the rest
of your day goes for you. It’s that
waking up with the Monday Miseries where you complain about having to get up
and go to work, or shifting your thoughts to, “Thank you for allowing me to
wake up to experience another day and for having a job.”
One I recently experienced on
a Monday was waking up with a sore back and thinking, “damn this is gonna suck
today.” Then I remembered I had an
appointment for some deep tissue muscle work and a back adjustment that
afternoon, and my intention shifted. I
strive to have my morning intention to go something like this, “Thank you for
another day…I know it will be a great one because I choose it to be…” Yes, there are mornings I wake up in a mood
and wallowing in some type of emotional nonsense, but I know if I do not get
out of bed, I will literally continue to wallow in the bed thinking about the
nonsense.
Intentions are powerful tools
that help set the balance of your day.
When those eyes open first thing, get to work by telling yourself you
will have a great day full of great things.
Rhonda Byrnes, author of The Secret, says it this way, “Your Thoughts
Become Things.”
