Are you an E or an O?
Meaning, are you exceptional or ordinary in how you live your life? Because most of us have so many insecurities,
I think the majority would answer they are ordinary. I beg to differ though. I find that people grossly underestimate the
gifts they have and the contributions they make to the world each day. Buying someone a cup of coffee can change a
day from ordinary to exceptional by bringing a nice smile to someone, and if
you’re smiling that early in the morning, that’s an indicator the rest of your
day will be nice. Taking someone to a
nice dinner for no particular reason shifts things from ordinary to
exceptional. Giving your time to charity
work shifts the lives of so many from ordinary to exceptional.
In my mind, going from ordinary to exceptional has nothing
to do with the act, money or recognition. I choose to believe we are all
exceptional as we all have the capacity to make a difference. It’s called the
gift of the blessing. It’s giving of
yourself and your energy to others because it is the right thing to do and
that’s it. Go out today and be
exceptional.
