I get daily emails/messages from a variety of web
sites. Most have messages of gratitude,
self-help, expanding awareness, and just overall goodness. My favorites are The DailyOM (www.dailyom.com), Wake Up Word (www.wakeupworld.com), and The Mind
Unleashed (www.themindunleashed.org). These sites drop some knowledge on me every
day. I choose to seek out the good things rather than listen to all the
negative nonsense the media tries to force-feed us calling it news. Think about it for a few minutes.
Can you recall the last time you saw some positive message
on the news that uplifted you, warmed your heart, or made you feel good? The only thing I can remotely recall is the
person of the week that one of the networks where they recognize someone for
their actions or work to make the world a better place. In contrast, there are reports daily, and
multiple times mind you, about all the bad people and bad things in the world.
That is the very reason I do not watch the so-called news. I do not see any upside to hearing all the
negative messages.
Here’s a good message for you: “There is always, always,
always, something to be thankful for.”
