There are many opportunities to learn something new each day. Yesterday, I learned about the kindness of a 5th grade student from Ohio, Andi Musser. A classmate asked Andi, in confidence, if she had some girls’ clothes, she could wear for school rather than her brothers’ hand-me-downs. Andi did help her out then went on to start a program called, Kindness Closet. It’s a program that provides new or gently used clothing to students in need. Since kicking off the program, Dick’s Sporting Goods, Goodwill, Rubbermaid, Kohl’s and others are now engaged to assist.
With it being the traditional time of the year for spring cleaning, this article really spoke to me. I’ve passed it on to friends in hopes of getting similar programs kicked off here in the Houston area. Take a few minutes to read the article and watch the video. I’m sure it will leave a smile on your face.
