"No act of kindness, no matter how small, is ever wasted." – Aesop
One definition of kindness is, a type of behavior marked by acts of generosity, consideration, or concern for others, without expecting praise or reward. For me, kindness is listening to someone who needs to talk, smiling and saying hello to a stranger, giving someone on the street your loose change, giving a hug for no reason, or paying someone’s rent who is in danger of getting evicted, etc. In my opinion, the actual act of kindness is immaterial. It is all about having the proper mindset.
When you learn to expand your awareness, you see things completely different, and you learn to see and sense the energy of others. You see how happy the dog is when you come home, that young child screaming your name and running up to hug you, or that smile you get when you open the door for someone and they say thank you. From the moment you wake up to the to the time you go to sleep, acts of kindness present themselves. Remember, it all matters. Go out and get your kindness on, and change the world for the better.
