Searching for Signal

This thought is compliments of my satellite television service.  The searching for signal message kept popping up on my HD channels.  Since it was not raining, I knew it was something else.  I followed the troubleshooting steps but was still getting searching for signal.  As a last-ditch effort, I checked the dish and could tell it had moved a little.  I am guessing the yard crew hit the fence or pole, and moved it enough to knock the alignment off on one of the satellite feeds.  I moved it back to the original position, and searching for signal went away.

There are days I feel I am searching for signal.  I get out of sync with the world around me, things get pixelated in my head, or I lose my signal altogether.  I know when it is happening, as I get very quiet and withdrawn.  When I feel it coming, I start my own internal troubleshooting process to validate the situation, and implement steps for realignment.  Sometimes realignment happens by talking myself through it, and other times a little Harley therapy solves the problem.

When those times pop up where you feel overwhelmed and cannot make sense out of things, you are probably out of alignment and searching for signal.  Take the time to acknowledge the situation, troubleshoot it, and re-sync yourself.
