Reservations Required

It is time again for a review of the table. In this instance, the table refers to the inner circle of people in your life. There are only a certain number of seats at the table. The seats should be reserved for those you allow in your personal space. They are the ones you want closest, trust the most, and matter most in your life. Not everyone deserves or should have a seat at your table. It gets back the difference between friends and acquaintances.

The funny thing about the table is at some point, we attempt to have a giant table full of people, and before you know it, acquaintances, friends, and who knows who else is in our space. We can end up with takers who bring nothing to the table. It gets back to that little thing called boundaries.
We have to know who belongs at the table, who doesn’t, and when it is time to move some away or up to the table. Unfortunately, it is not always easy removing someone from your table, but it is necessary. Guard the seats at the table, as there should only be a select few with you. If your table looks like a throw down at a crawfish festival, maybe it is time to rethink your seating. Reservations are required for the people at the table.
