Nora’s PC was running dog slow so I told her I would take a look at it. It was indeed taking at least 5 minutes to finish the boot up sequence. I was able to tweak some settings in the start up process that helped. Another thing I noticed was the amount of messages she had stored in her email folders. The operative term in the previous sentence is “stored” as in information about “past” events. I ended up archiving close to 7,000 email messages off the machine onto a backup drive.
So I pose the following question to everyone. How much information from your past are you storing rather processing and archiving? Our brains are capable of processing more information than any super computer, but like a computer, the performance of our brains can be slowed down by running out of resources to process data. When you do not process the information, your brain can blue screen, get the eternal hour glass or even crash like a computer. When your brain blue screens, it impacts every single thing, every person, and every event in your life. Your performance in life suffers in all areas. You feel sluggish, you slow down, and you withdraw from those around you as you are allocating your resources to holding on to the past information rather than processing it.
To keep your brain running at its optimum level, you need to process the information then archive it. Archiving it does not mean the information is gone, it just means you have dealt with it and off-loaded it in the “Past Archive.” Should you desire to recall something sometime, it’s still there, but now it’s just in the place it needs to be as it serves no useful purpose in the present. Archive your past in order to perform better in your present.
Action Item – Can you remember the last time you did a mental archive and off-loaded your past? If not, there is no time like the present.

And So It Starts
I snagged two rodeo ticket orders yesterday to the tune of $15,450.
Nora got one of her clients to upgrade their tickets for another $8,000 in new sales.
