Thought of the Day 9/26/09

A Totally Different Meaning

“Grateful hearts can change worlds.” – Rodney Williams

The Crotch Cam, developed by Nora, is a very creative method of taking pictures. You hold the camera at crotch level and shoot the pictures. It takes lots of time learn, but you too can develop this unique technique for taking pictures.

Now that you are finished shaking your head and laughing at me again, the words above are true. Like Nora, I like to take pictures from totally different angles that no one else thinks about. Why? The angle of the shot gives you a totally different perspective from what you traditional see through the lens. I recall taking some pictures at a recent cook-off where I was on my back in the dirt shooting up. The perspective and expressions on the faces was quite different. I saw a picture of Teri with her friend Roni and her new baby (congrats Roni & Tim and Aunt Teri and Great Aunt Lauren) where there is a totally different energy and presence around Teri’s face. You can see it as the camera angle is just a little different. That’s how it works.

I enjoy looking at life, and especially the people in my life, from different angles. I look for the things like kindness, sincerity, beauty, and uniqueness that others miss or never have the joy of seeing. When you can see not only the physical beauty but all also inner/spiritual beauty of those in your life, the relationships gets so much better. To me, that’s how I really connect and get to know people on the next level. A completely different bond and level of trust are established. Your relationships take on a totally different meaning when you just look from a different angle.

POSITIVE NEWS

Great Day
It’s Paul H.’s birthday today. Have a great one, Paul.

Another
Welcome to Margie. She is #98 to the group.

Day 1
We took the scenic route yesterday to San Antonio via Gruene, River Road, and a few hops across town We even tried to check in at the wrong hotel and got to laugh about that one. We had some great laffs at the Tejano bar next to the hotel, had some quite cold beers, and Mark discounted the parking on the bikes. Goodness abounds!
