Saturday's Pondering Results

A Little is Better Than None

What little am I referencing in the title? It’s one of the most precious things out there: time. Y’all know how much my Harley time does for my sanity. Riding is one thing that really clears my head. Even with the wind blowing, I can still sometimes hear nothing as I immerse myself into the ride. Some days I ride a few hundred miles and other days it is about 20 minutes. I like it all. A little time on the Harley is better than none. There are times when I am unable to get a full workout in so I just do what I can relative to my schedule. I prefer to do 10 miles on the stationary bike but sometimes can only get in five miles, and five is better than none.

Have you had those conversations where someone talks about the list of chores they have for the day? “I only got my hair cut and cleaning picked up but did not have time to get the car washed or mow the yard.” I spin conversations like that to concentrate on what was done rather than what was not done. “Getting two things off your chores list is better than none.” Praise yourself for what you did rather what you didn’t. Acknowledging you accomplishments is a good thing and good for you. Yet again, just another example “change your thinking…change your life.”
