Ouch! My Face Hurts

Yesterday was quite a large day. The Air Force Special Combat Operations Team came to town to do a rappel at the Supercross tonight. I picked up Johnny yesterday, and we had lunch with the guys then went out to Reliant for the practice run. Our first stop was the cat walks at the top of the stadium. We were literally in the black curtains watching the guys drop the ropes. You could actually see the exhaust cloud in the air from the bikes doing practice runs.

From there, we went down on the dirt, literally, to watch the actual practice drop. It was funny watching the expression change on Johnny’s face as we came out of the tunnel and hopped on the dirt. There was a little grin that kept getting bigger as we got closer to the center of the track. He was having a large time hanging out and watching the guys come down the ropes with the flag.

After the drop, we hung out for a while watching the extreme motocross guys practice their jumps. We were literally in the middle of it all with the dirt flying all over the place and watching them get huge air on the bikes. Before we left, I took a few pictures of Johnny and the team, and in true Johnny fashion, he was grinning ear to ear.I dropped him off then hooked up with the guys later for a few adult bvgs and lots of smiles and laughs all over town. Sandra sent me a message this morning saying her face was still hurting from laughing so much.

Today I am at the bowling alley with Johnny. He is wearing his new Air Force t-shirt, bowling, telling stories about yesterday’s adventure, talking it up while he is looking over my shoulder at the pictures and smiling away the whole time.

Heck, my face is still hurting from laughing and smiling so much, but this one is literally a case of “hurts so good.” Go out today and make someone’s face hurt from smiling and laughing. You know you can do it.
