Connect The Dots
May 23, 2010 will go down as another fabulous day in my life. Heck, each day in my life is great, but some days have unique experiences to go along with them. Yesterday I drove the NASCAR race car to its limits, literally. I was hitting the rev limiter numerous times on each lap. In this case, the rev limiter was set where I could not go over 150 mph. The good Lord knows I was trying to push a hole through the floorboard. Driving 10 laps at 150 mph was a total rush. Like flying the jet, you could not get the grin off my face with a power washer.
After the race car experience, we went back to Clay’s house and picked up two of his antique Harleys. He rode his 34 and I rode the 40 Knuckle. Two Harleys 70+ yrs old and we were still tooling down the freeway over to Strokers. We hung out, drank some beer, looked at a lot of custom bikes, visited with friends and made a few new acquaintances, or as I like to say: “just another ride on the fun bus.”
Lots of great things happen in my life daily. Some say I’m a lucky person, but to me, it is not luck at all. It’s a choice. I choose to live my life thinking and believing that wonderful things and people will come into my life. As you can tell from reading about my life, wonderful things and people do indeed surround me, but I do not take it for granted. I am totally thankful and do giggle a lot about how things happen and especially, about how all the dots connect together for a fabulous life.
Play a quick game of connect the dots with the people in your life. I think you will find it makes for a very nice picture. Just remember, the picture is always changing with the people and places you experience.
