Day One – Naught 11 AKA Saturday
Today is traditionally known as a day for new beginnings. We make resolutions to work out more, lose weight, save more money, get out of debt, get a new job, cut up the credit cards, etc. For some, New Years provides a level of motivation to do new “things,” but shouldn’t you have that level of motivation each day? Personally, I am not a big resolution maker as I see today, just like every day, as an opportunity for new beginnings. In my world, resolutions are pretty much just action items on the list of life, and I make a new list every morning. Each day has some of the same things on the list like smile a lot, have some hot brown water, get inspired and inspire, meet new people, move around a little, hug someone, smile some more, etc. Now you might same that looks like the same old same old, but trust me, it’s not.
Yes, I smile a lot each day, but the motivation to smile changes with the people I encounter and the unique thoughts I have each day. The hot brown water was a little different this morning than it was yesterday. My inspiration is a little different as I am sitting in a different chair at Starbucks and seeing “The View From A Different Angle.” Yes indeed, that is a shameless plug for my book, which doing well!
1-1-11 happens only once in our life just Iike 12-31-10 was a one-time event. The day takes on a little different complexion when you look at it that way doesn’t it? Happy New Day, y’all.
