Use It or Lose It
Item two on my daily action item list is to learn something new each day. Here is the new thing for Wednesday. When you learn something new, you have about 30 days to use before your brain starts to lose it. The old gym workout mantra of use it or lose it also applies to your brain. I’m certainly no brain specialist, but I would think the process is something like, “well I learned this new thing but have not done anything with it so I guess I will archive to the useless knowledge area.” When you learn something new, write it down. If it is important and intriguing, put some action behind it. Use It Before You Lose It.
