Moments
There is a Canadian musical group called Emerson Drive. They released a song called Moments in 2007 that went all the way to number one on the Billboard Music Charts. It’s a song about a young man contemplating suicide when a homeless man approaches him on the bridge where he was planning to jump. The homeless man tells him he was not always that way and had had his Moments. The young man began reflecting in his Moments. He did not jump. Instead, he thought more about what the homeless man said about Moments. I heard the song again a few minutes ago and started thinking about my Moments.
There are days where I sit wondering why things are a real bear every now and then. There are also days where I sit for a bit wondering how anything can top the day I am having at that very second. One thing I know for certain is both instances are just Moments in my life. There will be great days and less than great days. One is just as important as the other as they are Moments in my life. Life is hard. Life is fabulous. Both statements are 100% correct. What we do with the hard and fabulous is up to us. They are our Moments.
