The Big One

Which Way Now?

This time of year marks a major milestone for many among us.  It’s graduation time.  For those graduating high school, it’s time to think college, trade school, military, or work.  For college graduates, it’s time to look for the job to put that education to work.  Graduation is a life-changing event that puts us in a position of asking that important question, “Which Way Now?”

For some, the question is scary.  For others, the question is exciting.  For me, I choose the latter.  I like posing the question of “Which Way Now?”  The question comes up quite a bit on the Harley.  I get to end of the driveway and have to decide to turn left or right.  Those are my options if I want to ride.  When my project completed with Chevron last November, the question was there again.  I could go out and look for another project or take some time off.  I chose to take some time off.  I was fortunate to be in a position to take six months off, and it was one of the best things I’ve ever done.  I traveled, spent time with Tristen, hung out with the family, worked around the house, worked out, and spent a huge amount of time with ME.  The irony of taking the time off was that, six months to the day that I wrapped up Chevron, I got a call from Richard about working on a project with him.  Again, there was the question.

Life presents many opportunities to ask the question, “Which Way Now?”  How we choose to see the question, scary or exciting, is totally up to us.  How do you see it?
