I think one of the greatest Oxymorons in society today is the so-called Reality Show.  It is a pseudo scripted nonsense soap opera.  Oh, I’m sure some of the reactions are real, but most of the situations are set up, i.e. scripted.  If the shows are so real, why is there a list of directors, editors, lighting people, gaffers, best boys, and the rest in the credits at the end of the show?  A real Reality Show would be turning on the camera, letting it roll to see what really goes on, and streaming on the net.  There would be no directors, no editors, no nothing but raw footage.

I see so many people that approach life like it is a Reality Show.  They like to say they are living in the moment, yet I see them trying to edit and direct things to craft a desired outcome rather than allowing life to happen.  No, I am not saying you just sit back and watch.  You have to participate rather than spectate but not to the point, you are attempting to manipulate each and every event in your life.  We really make it harder than it has to be sometimes.

Spend more time living and less time editing and scripting.  That’s a wrap.
