High Level Maff

Calculated

We take risks from the time we wake up in the morning.  Something could happen and your hair dryer could electrocute you.  You could slip in the shower.  You could trip going down the stairs.  You could choke on breakfast.  One of the bigger risks we take each day is driving.  There are all sorts of opportunity for something to go south.  Isn’t it funny though that we seldom see any of those activities ask risks.  We just go through each day assuming they will all work like they did the day before.  Yet when it comes to taking risks with our heart, someone would have a better chance of getting the launch codes for the missiles.  Sure, the Bible tells us to guard our heart, but I don’t think that means keeping it in a titanium vault 300 feet underground.

We have all had our heart broken, but when you lock it up and stop trying, you not only cheat yourself but also everyone around you.  The most common thing you hear is, “I don’t wanna get hurt again.”  Using that analogy, is like saying I cannot drive or ride in a car again because I was in a wreck.  It’s that fine line of caution versus paranoia.  I’m not suggesting you jump off the deep end with someone right after meeting them as it takes seeing and being with people through a set of seasons to know them.  I am suggesting being receptive to the opportunity.  Learn to open up your heart and listen to it.  It will lead you in the right direction.
