The Fog

When I cracked my left eye open this morning, I could see fog out in the distance.  As I pulled out of the garage, I could see it was thicker than it originally looked.  I chuckled as it reminded me of times I feel like I’m stuck in the fog.  You know, those times where you look out, literally and figuratively, and just can’t seem to see much past the length of your arm.  Visibility on all levels is pretty much down to zero.  Sure, you can attempt to keep moving and run into something, or you can sit back down and wait for the fog to lift.  When I feel things are foggy and unclear in my life, I view it as a sign that I need to hang loose, exercise some patience, and wait for it to lift.  I think of it like being fogged in at the airport.  I just have to wait it out.  I have choices while I am waiting.  I can be one of those people that huffs and puffs and bitches about it, or I can get comfortable and do something constructive like read or strike up a conversation.

It is inevitable!  You will experience times in life when you feel fogged in.  No matter which way you look, nothing is clear to you.  You can be huffy, puffy, bitchy guy, or you can wait for it to lift.  The clarity and new vision will come if you have the patience to wait.
