Dang Pack of Chihuahuas
It’s not often that I have less
than good days, but geeze, yesterday just stunk on ice. There are was not a specific event, but more
like one right after the other annoyances that piled on top of each other. It reminded me of a pack of dang Chihuahuas
nipping at your ankles. Heck, even
Harley therapy did not help. About 2 pm,
I decided was I no longer gonna sit at home and stew about it or wait for the
next event to happen. Off I went to have
a tasty cold beverage and some good conversation, and I got both thanks to
Clyde, Kathy, Mikey P., and David Y. As
I knew it would with enough time and patience, the day shifted to the good
side.
Yesterday was a good reminder
about movement. I could have easily sat
in the Bubba chair and fumed and fumed about the stinko day, or I could do
something about it. I chose to do
something about it and changed the situation, the surroundings, and the
circumstances. Short of being duct-taped
and having a gun to our head, we have the ability to move and change
situations.
If you feel like you are being
attacked by the little ankle biters, that’s typically a sign to move out of the
current situation. Sometimes all you
need is an activity to shift your mind.
Maybe you need to take a run, go to a movie, or to talk to a friend. If things feel off, then they probably are
off. Make the move and change the
situation.
