One for the Team


Occasionally, we all have to take one for the team.  Whether it is going shopping, a book signing, wine tasting, or party with people we do not know, there are just times we need to take one for the team.  I know people that will bitch to high heaven about taking one for the team.  Let’s think about this for a minute, you are railing on to your wife, husband, friend, or whoever about how you do not want to go or be at an event and you wondering why you have a crappy time?  In the words of Sandra, “Suck it up cupcake!”

Here’s what I’ve learned about taking one for the team.  I can bitch, whine, and complain about it, and project all that negative energy to the point I do have a stinko time, or I can shift my thinking to, “hmmm, maybe I will meet some new people and learn something new?”  Life is not 100% our way.  I contend it is more about compromise.  Go ahead and take one for the team.  You never know, you may actually have a great time.
