There are two words that strike fear in the hearts of kid,
You’re Grounded! In my adult life, I
ground myself regularly. Yes, sometimes
for being a bad boy, but in most cases, I ground myself when I sense things are
either out of balance or heading in that direction. For me, the grounding process can be a little as pausing a
few seconds before responding to something to riding off in the sunset for a
few hours or days. My experience has
been that skipping grounding time just escalates things in a less than favorable
direction. Ground yourself. Put yourself in time out. Call it whatever you want, but take the time
to get grounded. You and those around
you will be glad you did.
