Monday had all sorts of potential to be a “Monday.” The computer was acting up; there was an
error, not to my favor, on one of my utility bills, had a conversation about
some of my “stuff” in the past that kicked up some emotions, and some silliness
on a project. I felt that short, cranky,
bitchy feeling attempting to build throughout the day, and I just kept
confronting it as I was determined to maintain my joy and goodness for the
day. Sure enough, it did turn
around. Lauren sent me some pics of
Tristen’s first day at pre-school, had a nice dinner; great conversation and
lots of laughs with Sally, and enjoyed some quiet time before a nice restful
night. I woke up this morning with all
the nonsense in the past where it should be.
Things hit us each day that have the potential to take us
off our game. There are also things that
hit us that have the potential to make the day even better than you thought it
could be. Do you choose to dwell on the crap of the day, or do you choose to
focus on the blessings and goodness each day?
It’s a matter of where you put your focus.
