Comfortable Excuses

“Take it or leave it. That’s just the way I am.” “I’m in a dead end job with no future.”  “I don’t have a choice.”  “I’ve always been fat and always will.” There is a name for the quotes and all of those like them: Comfortable Excuses. A comfortable excuse is anything that keeps us from moving forward or making changes. We can have excuses, or we can have results, but we cannot have both. People stay in certain places because it is easy and comfortable; however, easy and comfortable can also lead to stagnation.

Go out and make yourself a little uncomfortable.  Do something totally out of your comfort zone and experience how freeing it can be finding new results rather than the same tired, old excuses.
