Quick Hit

Have you been in a situation where you made a quick hit decision only to experience long-term problems?  There have been plenty of decisions I made in the heat of the moment only to go uh oh what do I do with this one now.  I left a job based on an ego driven decision, have been in “situations” with people that left a mark, and overall have just made some short term decisions that had long term problems.  If you say you don’t, well, you are either spinning a tall tale or live under the mattress in the room you grew up in at your parent’s house.

Everyone has a few “do-overs” in their lives.  I learned it is not so much the decision and the do-over but more the move forward position that makes the difference.  Now, continuing to make short-term decisions that leave a trail of collateral damage is well, how can I say it other than a real screwed up situation.  If you pride yourself on leaving a trail of tears and hurt feelings, then you are a special type of dumb ass.

If something feels right, it typically is right, and if something feels wrong it typically is wrong.  It’s a matter of listening to your head, your heart, and your spider senses.  Learn to work with the tools the good Lord gave you.  Quick hit decisions can lead to long term knockouts.  Don’t make me count to 10!
