One Time Only

I take many pictures. Some are silly, some are serious, and some only mean something to me, but they all have one thing in common.  They capture a moment in time that will never repeat.  That is not a deep thought but a fact.  We cannot recreate or go back in time.  Each keystroke occurring right now will never happen again.

On my social media account alone, there are literally thousands of photos of people, places and events in my life, and they were all one-time events that captured moments in my life.  When I put up pictures of skydiving, vacations, flying jets, driving a racecar, or pictures with wonderful people in my life, it is not bragging or fronting, but me just cataloging moments in my life.

When someone asks you take a picture, pause for a moment and remember, the time it takes for the lens to close and open is a one-time only event. Capture it, remember it, and enjoy that little slice of life.  You’ll be so glad you did.
