Refresh

One definition of refresh is, to revive with or as if with rest, food, or drink; give new vigor or spirit to. I like the last part of the definition, give new vigor or spirit to. I’ve learned through the years that internalizing and holding things in just makes it worse or leads to other health and emotional issues.  Now, I recognize my triggers that signal I need to refresh.  I get quiet, withdraw, get tense in my neck, and get a little anti-social.  When my head and or heart get full of nonsense or stress, I know I need to refresh to get it all out.  Last weekend, I went to NYC to refresh. I get out on the Harley and ride in the country to refresh.   I walk a few miles at least five days a week for exercise and for the refresh.

If you find yourself withdrawing or feeling a little depressed, those are sure fire signs that it’s time to refresh.  The activity you choose really doesn’t matter.  It is all about the action of doing the refresh.
