Keep Moving

Have you noticed how we aspire to reach certain levels in life then once we’re there, we stop? Be it a committed relationship, six-figure income, certain professional level in the workplace, or “the car you’ve always wanted.  Face it, we just get lazy and complacent at times in life, and that’s okay as long as the times are the exception rather than the norm.  Here’s how I see it.  We are not made to be lazy, complacent, or get by.  We are made to contribute, help others, and grow ourselves and those in our lives.
How do you do that?  You keep moving through setting the next set of goals, helping those around you, contributing to the greater good.

When I shifted professionally to the role of a contractor, I had a purpose.  I wanted to work less and on my own schedule to allow more quality time to do things I enjoy like traveling, riding the Harley, writing, and spending time with friends and family.  I just moved in a different direction.  I do work less hours, am traveling more, writing more, spending quality time with my people, and expanding in other areas.  I’m still moving.

If you feel, a little depressed or bored with certain aspects of your life, it could be because you stopped moving.  Take some time to assess where you are in your relationships, jobs, etc.  You may find it’s time to start moving in another direction.
