Playcation

Yes, I know that playcation is not an official word, but it is a word I use often.  A dear friend of mine lost her job today.  Rather than being all distraught with drama, she said, “Looks like I am on a mini vacation.”  She has the right attitude.  Yes, losing a job is one of the top three traumatic events in life, but how we respond to it is totally our decision.  Ironically, she told me about three weeks ago, that is was time to move and change was in the air.  Well, she felt this change but did not know when it would happen.

For me, the whole thing about change and how we deal with it comes down to one word, attitude.  We can choose to see it as all sorts of drama, or we can choose to look at it from the angle of, “this is what I have to work with and what do I want to do with it.”

How do you choose to deal with change?  Is it huge drama, or do you see it as a playcation and chance to experience new things?  Ultimately, it’s your choice.
