Who remembers today’s
title? It first appeared in 1971 then
again in the 80’s. Come on, I know you can do it. It was one of McDonalds’ most successful
advertising slogans in the history of the company. In fact, they ran three different campaigns
with it: 1971-1975, 1980-1983 and 1989-1990.
We all deserve a break every
day. I do focus and put significant effort into living a lifestyle of gratitude
and being thankful everything; however, I am also a realist and know some days
will just stink on ice. I strive to take
at least 10 minutes of quiet time in the chair to just close my eyes and listen
to the quiet around me. Other days, 10
minutes does not cut it and I am off for a long deep tissue massage, yoga, a
little Harley therapy, some Tristen time, or a quick road trip. I have learned that not forcing myself to
take a break just gives the crap in life a chance to fester and only get
worse.
Make and take time to find
that little piece of calm in your life.
Whether it is interacting with your animals, reading a book or just a
hug from someone special, it will definitely make for a better day. Remember, You Deserve a Break Today.
