Unless you are truly a baby, you have experienced the
dreaded, “Pizza Mouth!” No, it has
nothing to do with your conversational ability.
Pizza Mouth is that moment where we feel the need to take a bite of a
hot pizza as soon as it comes out of the oven, and what happens? You burn the crap out of the roof of your
mouth from the hot cheese. We’ve all
done it and will do it again at some point.
So, what is it about pizza that we subject ourselves to
flesh searing, literally, heat to eat that first slice rather than letting it
cool down for a few minutes then taking the first bite? From my experiences with Pizza Mouth, it
comes down to two things: pizza is typically a group activity and you don’t
wanna miss your slice, and the other thing is patience.
In both instances, it is about timing. So much of life is about timing. Move too soon and you get burned. Wait too
long and you miss out. Finding the
medium in between is what’s it’s all about in my feeble mind. So what are your thoughts on Pizza Mouth?
