Ballast

I watched an interesting program on the mega- container ships that transport goods all over the world.  From the specific order of loading the containers to the ballast tanks that shift water around in the hull to keep the ship level, those ships are a pure ballet of balance.

I wish my internal ballast worked as well those ships.  Heck, my ballet of balance sometimes looks more like the chicken dance.  I’m shifting here, shifting there, and am all over the place.  When that happens, I know it’s time to get my ballast tanks leveled out.  That can involve Harley therapy, quiet time, reading, a good emotional bloodletting, or even going back to see my therapist, Jamie.  No matter how off in the weeds I get, I know I have to take action, or I will capsize, and I already know how that looks from living it.

Storms do crop up in life and will pitch us from side to side. Life is too precious and fun to be listing all the time.  Adjust your ballast and enjoy the smooth sailing.  You deserve it.
