Yes, three-phase typically means something to do with
electricity, but not today. The three-phase I'm talking about today are three
phases of daily life: past, present, & future. The past is just that. it is
done and is finished. The future has not happened, and all we can do is
speculate on what the future will bring. That leaves us with the present. Right
now and at this very moment is really the only thing I know and can work with.
I cannot redo or change anything in the past, and the future is the great
unknown.
Dancing through the past is okay as long as the past is not controlling my present space. Meaning, if I am making decisions on things in the now based on things in the past, well they are just destined to repeat. I can tell when I am fixating on the past. I physically feel bad when I do. The memories are sometimes less than fun. The future is nice to dream about and aspire to, but that is really all we can do with it. I view thinking about the future as a bit of a playcation for my brain. The future is indeed the great unknown.
That leaves us with the present moment. After all, right now is the only place where we are actively involved. The other phases are done or have not happened. Being present in the moment is an often used phrase, but it truly is the only place we can really live. So, where do you live? What is your dominant phase?
