I watched The Bucket List movie again, and it was even
better than the first time I saw the movie.
With a lot of the things I do, I am often asked if said activity was on
my bucket list. My response is, “I do
not have bucket list…I have an enjoying my life list…”
I put more focus on doing things now rather than getting to
an age where I can’t and living with the regret of missing an opportunity.
Sure, I like the adrenalin rush of jumping out of a plane,
flying a fighter jet, or driving a racecar, but adrenalin is not the reason I
do these things. I do them because they
just show up in my life. Yes, some
activities are dangerous, but so is driving in Houston traffic with all the
boneheads on the phone.
Here it is in its most simplistic form. There are no do-overs in life. We have
exactly 86,400 a seconds in each day.
What we choose to do with them is up to us. Skip the bucket list and make the life
list. Enjoy the experience of living
now.
